I am a single mom of one daughter. The teenager is busy being a teenager. Just pray for me…ya hear?
I was born and raised in south Georgia and love being a country girl. I used to live just outside the “big city” of Atlanta. I like being close to the city so that if I lose my mind and decide I want to go have “fun” I can go wild! The best thing about living where I live though, is NO TRAFFIC JAMS! I hear the trains from downtown which calm me as I’m trying to go to bed each night. Lightning bugs can be seen on those summer evenings along the side of the road on my way home from choir practice. Small town living at its finest. Now, I’m “in” the city…and am adjusting to city living…including the traffic!
I hold a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and an M.Ed. in Mathematics Curriculum and Instruction! This journey is a trip. This blog is my random rantings regarding my life as a mom, a reader and a writer. I’ll also share my weight loss journey with trying to eat right and exercise. I like to start my stories with So…..because of that SoSaysKimyatta was born! My daughter, books, music and writing are things that interest me.
My first published work was an entry called Diary of a Struggling Mom which is a part of the wonderful collaboration called The Motherhood Diaries by Reshonda Tate Billingsley. I’m also published in The Motherhood Diaries 2 by Reshonda Tate Billingsley with Diary of a Reading Mom. I have a completed manuscript on which I am working to complete the edits so that I can get that puppy published. I am looking forward to this journey. I hope you will stick around.
